I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families from various backgrounds and socio-economic statuses through my employment with the Department of Family and Children Services and employment working in residential treatment facilities for at-risk youths. I hold an undergraduate degree in Counseling Services from the University of New Orleans and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. I enjoy making an impact on people’s lives. I have a gift and talent for empowering people.  I believe my path and life’s mission is to help individuals reach their full potential. Today, I am a wife of 17 years and a very proud mother of 3 amazing children.  I am well respected in my community and in the Social Work field. I have impacted many lives through my work. I don’t believe that people cannot change. I believe that with GOD, the right people in your life, and a genuine support system anyone can change. I have learned that God gave me the gift to motivate and encourage people; therefore it was his work all along.  I have been fighting a debilitating illness (Fibromyalgia) for the last 6 years.  I’m currently growing and evolving from this experience. It is my belief that GOD has taken me through so many things in my life, to be a beacon of light to others.  No one has to succumb to circumstances and situations that they face in life.  I believe that what we go through in life is all a part of God’s plan to help us grow and evolve into the people he wants us to be.
